Sultan Ahmet Mosque

Built by architect Mehmet in the 17th century, just across from Hagia Sophia, the mosque is known as the Blue Mosque because of the magnificent Blue Iznik tiles inside.


Grand Bazaar

In this labyrinth of streets and alleyways, there are more than 4,000 shops with their own commercial spaces; Turkish handicrafts and crafts such as jewelers' bazaar, carpet vendors, handmade copper products, brass jewelery and boxes, onyx jewelery and meerschaum

Hippodrome

The scene of the old chariot races, the ancient Hippodrome with its four monuments: II. Wilhelm German Fountain, Theodosius Obelisk, bronze serpent column and Circlestone column.

Topkapi palace

The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries is home to a distinguished collection of sultan's thrones made of precious stones, jewels, caftans worn by sultans and their families, miniatures, and Hırka-i Şerif.

Hagia Sophia

(Hagia Sophia in Turkish) is a former Greek Orthodox patriarchal basilica (church) that was later converted into an imperial mosque and is now a museum in Istanbul, Turkey.

It served as an Eastern Orthodox Cathedral and a lectern of the Patriarchate of Constantinople from 537 to 1453, when it was built, except for the period between 1204 and 1261, when it was converted into a Roman Catholic Cathedral during the Latin Empire Period.

The building served as a mosque between May 29, 1453 – 1931. It was secularized and turned into a museum on February 1, 1935.

The Egyptian Bazaar

The Spice Bazaar is located at the back of Eminönü, next to the New Mosque and Flower Shop. It is one of the oldest bazaars of Istanbul.

This bazaar is still famous for its natural medicines, spices, flowers, seeds, roots and shells of rare plants, as well as old traditional products, nuts, delicatessen, and various foodstuffs.

Spice Bazaar is also open on Sundays.

Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays. Instead, the Archaeological Museum or the Museum of Islamic Arts can be visited.
