ARSLANTEPE MOUND MALATYA

The first city-state in Anatolia

During the excavations, the "Buildings of the First City-State" in Anatolia were unearthed. In addition, during the excavations, first a 5500-year-old temple was found, and then the palace was unearthed.

There are colorful figures depicting political power on its walls. Many pottery and pottery that are similar to Mesopotamia are among the artifacts unearthed during the excavations.

The oldest swords found in the world were unearthed as a result of the studies done here.

In this precious mound, which must be visited, traces of approximately 5,000 years can still be observed. The main reason why it is called the first city-state of Anatolia is the seals found in the works.
